Cubic System

The cubic system, is the most symmetric of the 7 possible systems.   It also has the most possible forms than any other system, totaling 15 all of which are closed.  Each of the 15 possible cubic forms corresponds to one of one of the five possible cubic point groups.  Therefore, several forms may belong to the same symmetry The crystallographic axes of the cubic system are all orthogonal and equal to each other, hence the name cubic.   The point groups are as follows,
